The Challenge and the Result
The Challenge
Birdie's project spanned the helm, the salon and the network. Navigation, communications, audio, video and control all had to work together on one vessel, so the work covered electronics at the helm as well as the guest and entertainment areas.
The Result
At the helm, Birdie has Garmin displays and radar with a Simrad autopilot, plus VHF and AIS so the vessel can talk to and be seen by other vessels. Below, JL Audio, Sonos and Apple TVs provide entertainment, all controlled through Savant. A network with access points ties the vessel together, and an ACR searchlight adds nighttime visibility.
